transitory s(tain)s

visible and not

transitory s(tain)s are self portraits caught in the brief memory of an i-phone before it focuses on the immediate. They are invisible and not, they are staining the screen with an out of focus suggestion of what has been there. The tain or silver backing of a mirror captures an image prior to reflection, these portraits are similar in their temporary visibility. Reflections of self they are considering personal transitions of age and the shift in focus harboured by these changes.
